Which Camp should I attend?
GIRLS FUNDAMENTAL CAMP/SHOOTING CAMP - This Camp is dedicated to developing the all-around individual offensive and defensive skills of every player. Campers attending this camp have not yet competed at the freshman level. The Fundamental Camp is for girls ages 8-13.
HS TEAM I&II/SPECIALTY CAMP – This Camp is for players on the junior varsity or Varsity high school level, ages 14-18. Those not yet in high school need their coach's recommendation. This camp is devoted to more specific position development and is ideal as a team camp for players from the same school. Participants will get to work on skill development AND team competitions.
14 UNDER POSITION/TEAM CAMP - This camp is for the more serious players in age groups of 8-14. We will focus on Position Development, Game Situations and "TEAM" Play. We encourage, but do not limit the camp to, school, club and AAU teams that are Jr. High and younger. If you come as a TEAM, you will practice and play as a team!
BOYS FUNDAMENTALS/SHOOTING CAMP - This camp is for boys ages 8-15. At this camp, campers will work to develop individual offensive, defensive, and shooting fundamental skills. Campers will participate in daily skill development as well as numerous competitive situations and games.
If you come as a team you will practice and play as a team. In all team camps, you do not need to come with an entire team to participate. Those who come individually will be assigned to a team.
Where is the Camp Located?
All TABC Camps (Boys and Girls) will be held on the beautiful campus of Southwestern University in Georgetown, Texas. The campers will stay in the dormitories, while eating all meals in the recently upgraded state-of-art cafeteria. All basketball activities will take place in the Robertson Gymnasium athletic complex. From Interstate 35 take Exit #261 (Texas Highway 29). Follow Highway 29 east (University Avenue) approximately 1.3 miles,
turn left onto Southwestern Blvd. The gym is the second building on the left.
What are my transportation options?
It is the responsibility of the parent/guardian to arrange transportation to and from camp for their son or daughter. TABC will provide transportation to and from the Austin Bergstrom Airport for $30 round trip or $15 one way. Please set this up with the camp director or the TABC office.
How do I check in/check out?
Check-In for each camp will run from 9:00 am – 11:00 am in the lobby of Robertson Gymnasium on the campus of Southwestern University. Campers will receive all necessary information regarding camp, housing and meals at that time. The 1st day of camp will begin at approximately 12:00 Noon. Campers must provide their own lunch on the 1st day of camp and need to eat lunch before the start of camp. Camp ends daily at 10pm except the last day when it ends at 4 pm. Day campers need to arrive at 8:00am the second and third day. They must eat breakfast before camp starts.
How do I pay tuition?
You can reserve your spot by sending your camp application and a $50 non-refundable deposit. The remaining balance and a Southwestern waiver form should be sent to TABC at least two weeks before the camp starts. If using a credit card, you must pay the full amount up front when you register. Your confirmation, the waiver, a map to Southwestern and a detailed list of items to bring to camp will be sent out within two weeks after we receive
your application and deposit. Please fill out ALL the information on the form.
Is there a discount for bringing a whole team?
Team Camp Discount
– if you bring 6 campers from the same high school, you get a $25 discount per camper. If you bring 10 campers from the same high school you get a $45 discount per camper.
– if you attend two consecutive camps, we will give you a discount of 50% off of the overnight fee of $100.
TABC Active Member Discount
- $30 discount for your child per camp.
What should I bring?
Workout clothes, extra socks, basketball shoes, other shoes, bedding, towels, toiletries, and money for snacks.
Will I have a roomate?
There will be two players per room. At registration players may select a roommate. If a player has no preference a roommate will be selected for them.
